Deep Draw Components

Deep Draw Components  are parts that are manufactured using the deep drawn steel stamping process, where a blow and die are used to gradually mold sheet metal in to a finished part. A part is typically supposed about deep drawn when the deepness of the part is at least one 1/2 times the diameter of the part- parts with thinner depths are thought about to be stamped parts, but not deep drawn parts.

Deep drawn Components

Deep drawn components can fit a large range of specifications. While the maximum basic deep drawn part is the basic tube, modern deep drawn parts can be  any shape, counting irregular shapes. Furthermore, in-press stations can make a lot of additional actions as an element is being deep drawn, including piercing & threading, allowing deep drawn parts to be press complete with essential holes, projections, tabs, & screw threads.

  2. Very informative post — your explanation of how deep draw components differ from standard stamping (especially how depth vs diameter is considered) is well laid out. For anyone looking for a working example of deep draw & stamped parts in a full-scale production environment, Violin Technologies has a capabilities page that demonstrates how they handle everything from tooling to finishing for such parts.
